This collection provides an opportunity for Catholics to make a financial offering to assist the Holy Father. One-third of the funds collected is for what is traditionally known as Peter’s Pence: donations used by the Pope for his charitable contributions to those most in need. Two-thirds of the collection is to support the Holy Father in administering the Holy See and serving the Universal Church (Canon 1271).
To manage the weekend Masses, we have a number of COVID protocols in place that include: welcoming, seating, and wiping down church spaces. The time commitment is approximately 20-45 minutes before Mass(welcoming and seating); and 20 minutes after Mass (wiping down). Are you in good health and would like to help in this important ministry, ensuring the ongoing safety of in-person Masses at our church? If you are able to help, for one Mass per month (or more if you can), please send an email to: [email protected]

Offerings received through the World Day of Prayer transform our prayers into action in the form of project grants empowering women and children in our own country and throughout the world. All regions share in the grants, with consideration given to greatest need. Through World Day of Prayer offerings, WICC has distributed over 2.5 million dollars in the past 35 years. The vision is to restore hope to women and children touched by injustice.

The Church celebrates the Holy Season of Lent to prepare ourselves for the Easter Mystery. The structure of this holy season with its particular liturgical celebrations, such as Ash Wednesday, the Scrutinies for those seeking entrance to the Church through baptism at Easter, Palm Sunday and the Holy Week liturgies are meaningful and familiar. Though Lent may continue in a predictable pattern, circumstances in the world change from year to year. Each Lent, though familiar, is unique because we are experiencing life differently this year than the preceding one. Click here to read the full message.
